The growth in Wi-Fi hotspots is also expected to go through the roof with large scale initiatives similar to one taken by Malaysia recently, where the government has mandated the provision of Wi-Fi internet service in every restaurants.
Though security, maintenance and ownership of the network have been more important considerations for service industry, players looking to provide free or paid Wi-Fi service to customers are left with no choice but to provide extremely insecure wireless internet service.
